The most vital (and all too often lacking) element in feeling a deeper connection for me is being with someone who cares about more than themselves, that is intrinsically, cause/greater good motivated more so than hedonistically. This includes taking action on a regular basis in numerous ways, not just thinking or talking about it.
Ready for and capable of a real relationship and true love with the right person, not just someone to have fun with and to fill the void.

Not only interested in someone for what they will do for them, or to interview them for a specific role, but rather just because they are worthwhile knowing and enrich their lives through the experience.
